July 23, 2014 Lunch & Learn: Web Site Design

Yesterday’s Lunch & Learn was total fun!  We had about 10 Tracy, CA small business owners in the class and we now have 10 new web sites up and running!  We could not get to the entire course, but, I learned that this information is better suited to one-on-one teaching since technical issues (or computer use training)  can be addressed right away, one-on-one….BUT….even though it took longer than expected, the web sites are up and the students know a bit how to maintain them…

web class 1 web class 2 web class 3

web class 4 before class 5 before class 3

Bring your laptop, make sure you have a business email address, and think of 3 names for your Web site / Blog and we WILL get your small business web site up and running before you leave the office!

To be admitted you HAVE to bring your laptop…..

It is ESSENTIAL that today’s small business owner have an ONLINE presence. Unfortunately, many small business owners do not have a clear grasp on: Social Media, Web Sites, Blogs, etc and how they interact with each other to help you market your business.  In Part 1, Mike will give an overview of many of the social media / online advertising options available and give you his opinion on how that all connects to your web site. BRING your laptop, tablet, and smartphone as you may want to start a web site or Business Facebook page at the end of class.

Presenter: A Tracy resident since 1985,  Mike Pihlman, MSEE is the owner of AltamontCowork in downtown Tracy, CA. Mike spent his engineering career in research & development of advanced digital technology and evangelizing, and helping to define, desktop videoconferencing. He was the first to develop, and implement, “cloud-based” videoconferencing (while he was at LBL).
